Introducing an additional production line with a dual extruder at Hintotex was no simple feat. In collaboration with Andrew Bishop, we began by digitally capturing the existing facility layout using advanced 3D scanning hardware, producing a precise digital twin of current operations. This allowed us to simulate spatial changes, test machinery layouts, and optimise electricity and utilities distribution, all before any physical changes were made.

The existing cable tray infrastructure was seamlessly extended by 6.5 metres, integrating 3kVA and 5kVA power, pressurised air, gas, and water lines, ensuring full compatibility with both new and legacy systems. With careful planning, detailed modelling, and agile collaboration, we helped merge old and new processes into a single, streamlined production ecosystem.
